Most of the men-only bungalow resorts are, including Club Torso, Aqua Beach, Rainbow Golf, Birdcage, Villas Blancas, Artemisa, and Beach Boys. It is normal, relaxed, and nobody will bat an eyelid either way. The smaller boutique properties such as Fahana, Mar Bianco, and Villa Adler are more relaxed than strict about it, while the larger hotels like Ritual and Seven Hotel & Wellness are not clothing-optional throughout, so check before you book if that matters to you.
When is the best time to visit Maspalomas?
Gran Canaria is a year-round destination with average highs above 20°C every month. November is the busiest and most exciting time thanks to Maspalomas Winter Pride, and Carnival in the spring is another big draw. If you want sun without the crowds, aim for late January or February.
How far is the gay beach from the hotels?
The gay section of the Maspalomas beach sits beyond the dunes, near kiosk 7. From Playa del Inglés hotels it is a 20 to 30 minute walk across the sand, and from Campo Internacional properties it is roughly 20 minutes. Bring water and something on your feet, because the dunes get very hot.
