We have ours. That is not a sponsored line, it is just what happened when the early release went up.
Superflirt 2027: Confirmed
- Date: Saturday 28 August 2027.
- Where: Kaap Amsterdam, out east on the IJ, which is where Superflirt is always held.
- The occasion: it marks five years of Superflirt, which is why the early tickets went out further ahead than usual.
- Tickets: a limited batch of 5-Year Anniversary tickets at €50 went on sale early, through the official site at superflirtfestival.nl.
- The catch: it is a limited batch and it is priced to move. If you are reading this and the anniversary tier is still showing, that is the one to buy.
Buy from the official site rather than a resale platform. This is a small, community-run festival and the secondary market around it is not worth your money or the risk.
What Superflirt Is
Superflirt describes itself as queer as f*ck and as a festival for, with and by the community, and that is the honest description rather than marketing. Where Milkshake is a large open-minded dance festival that happens to be queer-founded, Superflirt is explicitly a queer festival, and it feels like one.
The pitch is that the different subcultures of the LGBTQIA+ community end up in the same field for a day, which in Amsterdam usually means separate scenes in separate venues. It is smaller, warmer and considerably less polished than a big commercial festival, and that is the appeal.
The 2026 Edition, for Reference
Useful mainly as a guide to what to expect next year, since the format tends to hold.
- When: Saturday 29 August 2026, 13:00 to 23:00.
- Where: Kaap Amsterdam, on the IJdijk out east on the water. Also known as Kaap Oost.
- Shape of the day: a single long daytime-into-evening event rather than a late night. It starts in the afternoon and finishes at a civilised hour, which is a genuinely different proposition from an Amsterdam club night.
Kaap is Superflirt’s home rather than a one-off booking, and the festival has its own location page for the venue, so you can plan the journey on the assumption you are going east.
The 2026 edition ran seven stages, each hosted by a different queer label or party, which is the clearest expression of the whole idea: Can You Feel iT?, Sweetie Darling, DAMAGE by Mister B, Superball, Rubber, Lesbique and BOPS, covering house, techno, disco and pop. Scenes that normally keep to their own venues, in one place for a day.
Practical Notes
- Getting there: tram 26 from Centraal towards IJburg, every ten minutes, about eleven minutes to Bob Haarmslaan, then a ten-minute walk. Cycling works too. It is further east than most visitors ever go, so put it in your phone before you set off.
- A daytime festival needs different clothes. Sun in the afternoon, cold off the water by nine. Layers, and something for both.
- It is cashless, like everything Dutch. Card only.
- Late August in Amsterdam is a good time to be here generally: the city has emptied slightly after the summer peak, and the weather is often better than July.
- Ending at 23:00 is a feature. You finish in time to carry on somewhere in town, which a lot of people do.
Superflirt Festival: Your Questions Answered
When is Superflirt Festival 2027?
Saturday 28 August 2027. It is confirmed and tickets have already been released, with a limited €50 anniversary batch marking five years of the festival.
Where is Superflirt Festival held?
Kaap Amsterdam, on the IJdijk in Amsterdam Oost, which is the festival’s regular home. Tram 26 from Centraal towards IJburg gets you to Bob Haarmslaan in about eleven minutes, then it is a ten-minute walk.
Where do I buy Superflirt tickets?
Through the official site, superflirtfestival.nl. Avoid resale platforms for an event this size.
When was Superflirt 2026?
Saturday 29 August 2026, from 13:00 to 23:00 at Kaap Amsterdam on Zuider IJdijk.
How is Superflirt different from Milkshake?
Milkshake is the large two-day festival at Westerpark in late July, open-minded rather than explicitly queer. Superflirt is a single day in late August, smaller, community-run and explicitly a queer festival. They are complementary rather than competing.
Is it a late night?
No. The 2026 edition ran 13:00 to 23:00, so it is a daytime festival that finishes in the evening rather than a club night. Plenty of people carry on in town afterwards.
Where to Stay
Amsterdam Oost is the obvious choice for this one, since it puts you nearest the water and the venue, and it is a good and underrated part of town to stay in generally. De Pijp and the centre are both a manageable cycle, and Amsterdam is small enough that nowhere central is really wrong.
Our guide to where to stay in Amsterdam covers the neighbourhoods in detail.
